Beth,
I need to make a directory outside of httpdocs to store my mysql login script file to protect my username and password for my database. How do I make a directory in the root and how do I link to it. I tried to create a directory in the root from my FTP program but is says access denied and I get the same message when I try to FTP the file into a directory that is already there like /bin or /cgi-bin for expample.
