|
|
Yesterday afternoon we received a call from one of our existing customers. He had found a web hosting company that was offering unrealistic hosting plans. It was so out of whack that we went digging to find out what was going on.
We found a few things and they are things that folks should be aware of.
What we found is that they were based in Canada and that the national better business bureau here in the US said they have an unacceptable record because they had a huge number of complaints about this company. Better yet, the company had responded that they have no intention of responding to any of the customer complaints or any charges leveled by the Better Business Bureau.
I didn't find it surprising that this company had a high number of complaints. And I also didn't find it unusual that this company would have a high volume of complaints because the size of the plans they were offering were so large that it was not a viable that they could deliver on what they promised.
Bottom line is review our BBB record regularly. In our case it demonstrates how solid and how committed to our customers we are. The BBB says that they get the most complaints about web hosts and auto mechanics. They often complement us on our outstanding record. And lastly they always advise using the BBB to help in your web hosting decisions. You can reach the national Better Business Bureau here;

Since it is an office, not a retail store there isn't anything to be done and is no conflict of interest. They are not selling from their office any more then you are, there is no competition.

| Just a quick warning: I'd avoid that system recommended by Aaron simply because you don't want to deal with Cyber Power. I know three people who tried buying machines from them. For two of them it took over three weeks for the machines to arrive despite the credit cards being charged straight away. |
