I know that you're in the process of migrating to the new servers today. I was just curious when you expect to be complete.

Currently, when I try accessing my website (gwhizmedia.com), I get the Plesk default page. For webmail (webmail.gwhizmedia.com), a page indicates that my website is disabled.

Thank you for your help.

John

When I go to webmail.gwhizmedia.com, it just brings me to a page that just says:

"This website is disabled.

If you are getting this message, it means you have entered an invalid web address on this server.

1.If you are attempting to access webmail the address is http://webmail.yourdomain.com (note NOT mail.yourdomain.com)

2. please check your control panel to see if your have inadvertently toggled the site off. If the site is not toggled off , if you have problems accessing the control panel or this doesn't correct the issue, please Email techsupport@actwd.com . Requests from the site owner only will be address.
Or you may return to our homepage web hosting For Idiots for additional assistance."

I'm still getting the "website is disabled" message when I try to access my e-mail account through webmail.

I'm trying to access it through http://webmail.gwhizmedia.com

Is there something I should be doing differently on my end?

Thanks!

John,

Try this, it should work. It worked for my website so it should also work for your webmail. All it does is force the url you put in to the correct server. Your ISP is trying to access the old server.

.....edit the host file

its located @ c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\
there is a file named hosts

open the file with notepad

add this line to the bottom

63.111.67.9 webmail.gwhizmedia.com

that will fix any dns resolution errors quickly

make sure you click on save in notepad after you edit the file and then reboot your computer.

Thanks for your help with this!!! I really appreciate it!

I'm able to access it now on my current system.

The only question I have now is that if I'm trying to access this from a library or something, will I have to again edit the host file?

Again, thanks for your help!

Hi,

The library should have the right address without issue.

If they don't although you can't edit the host file on their computer, one other work around might be this https://webmail..... <notice I put in the "s" in http://

Of couse let us know if you have other questions.
