Why Social bookmarking

Social Bookmarking is coming into its own. Its a trend with sites like Digg, Del.icio.us and netscape and has become a hang out for Media people to use as research for articles or a repositiory for articles.

This has be come a human edited and human reviewed topic and Google has always had a fondness for that. It is impossible to spam this type activity because the reviews of others is what elevates these topics. So if you write good solid content you should be reviewed positively thus elevating you to a page rank 8 page returning a link to you site. This is EXTREMELY powerful.

Overview is:

1. increases traffic
2. Increases Back links
3. Immediate Exposure for you website
4. Fresh content that gets indexed quickly

If you use social bookmarking sites it can be a bit of a hassle submitting to a bunch of them. There is now a site that automates this process for free. Currently, they are submitting to 48 different sites at ounce.

As I understand, search engines hold social bookmarks in higher regard than free directories, which appear to have a higher number of robot submissions than social bookmarks, so far...
