Open Front Page the
program
Under the File Menu pick Open Web
a box pops up
on the left hand side there is 5 buttons
click the fifth button on the left it will say either my network
places or web folders depending on your version of windows
directly to the right there is a line. On the line type
http://www.yourwebsiteaddress and hit open Enter your username
and password when prompted.
It will bring up a box of folders hit open again
The screen should have a split files on left and blank on the
right. If not you can toggle on the folder list is like 2
buttons to the right of the picture of the floppy disk up at
top. You can also bring up the folder list under the view menu.
Things you can do:
You may choose to publish your
web back to your hard drive.
You would hit publish
where you want to publish is c:\ websitebackup (yes that's a
backslash).
Answer the questions like there is no frontpage web at this
location do you want to create one, The answer is yes.
You may just want to edit the
site on our server.
You would open the page you want to make the edits to and hit
save. and it will save directly to the server (do not hits
publish to make the changes to the server, remember you are
already directly connected.
